I have black hair and I want to have a tint of red..?

You could highlight it red, then dye it over red. Or yoiu could highlight it with lemon juice, which makes dark hair redder. Or you highlight it as blonde as you can, then dye it red. Not really much you can do, till you get it lighter. It wont last very long or even show up at all if you dye it first. It's impossible to lighten brown hair with brown hair, unless you want it even darker.
